ON A COOKING SPREE.....

i have noticed this strong urge to cook everything i see (and eat and like) comes in phases
.... unlike the urge to eat everything i like (which stays)
 and well .. this is one of those phases

it started with chocolate mud cake for dad's b' day

i messed up the glazing first time so the next day added one egg yolk to the glazing that i messed up and turned that into chocolate mousse - was too busy devouring that one and completely forgot to take picture of that one- sorry i have to brag in this post-- that was heavenly!!!!

following day made noodle salad with peanut butter dressing for a-la-nigella lawson... yum yum

next day saw some tv programme boasting of giving a recipe of authentic bangladeshi morog pulaoand i realised  i am currently in possession of all the 40 odd spices required so... again too busy eating to click photos/

 and today i made chocolate macaroonsand it is too too good..

due acknowledgement to nigella once again ....

thali restaurants

there is something aesthetic about thali restaurants

• its photogenic...

• it is nice that food comes to you, as opposed to you getting up and going to food. (buffet restaurants..aagh)

• the equality is also charming... the one with fat purse gets to eat exactly what the one with thinner purse gets to eat.

• only thing is that it makes you wish you had a larger appetite

Spanish omelette

i have become quite a pro at this -- no need to post recipe -- everybody knows-- besides it's all over the net anyway -- my tip is that you may grate the boiled potato-- makes it easier to turn.
